How can you resist a title like that? I couldn't, so this "cutest little fawn - EVER" is now mine! I thought he would be a perfect Christmas decoration but my husband thinks he should stay out always! He is a little vintage fawn and he is my Tuesday's Treasure. Pop over to Melody's to see other lovely treasures.
Last week raced by and this week looks like it is going the same way, but the above photos are some of what I have been up to. Last week I was inspired by Lily to do some extra cleaning, I chose to polish my dining room table and set it nicely ... We went to Raglan in the weekend for our church camp, a lovely weekend but very short on sleep! The camp is high on a hill overlooking a bay, such a beautiful spot ... I have fitted in a little bit of sewing, I started cutting lots of squares to make the remaining shoo fly blocks for my Vignette quilt ... I completed one more block for Charlie's quilt ... and I finished my second item for the Christmas angel swap, the 4"x6" stitchery, although I still need to frame it. Next on my sewing list is my Farmer's Wife blocks for March and I joined another swap (I am so weak!!), the Friendship swap with Sew Happy House so I want to start that too. Whew, I better get off the computer and back to my needle, Wendy xx
Very cute fawn Wendy and I know what you mean about the weeks flying by.................I need more time to craft!

ReplyDeleteAwww how cute is your fawn. Your table came up a treat and I love your runner. Where is the beach? Which state? Very nice hand stitching clearly you spend a lot of time behind the needle. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteYour fawn is very cute. What a pretty tablerunner on a very shiny table.
ReplyDeleteCute fawn.. almost looks real! And your table top is gorgeous, as are your other photos.. Sounds like you've got lots of sewing to do, Wendy! :o)
ReplyDeleteLots of gorgeous stitching and I agree that dear little deer should stay out all year.

ReplyDeleteBusy beaver! I know that spot at Raglan, I went there years ago with my daughter to a Karate camp, awesome place!
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute little fawn... I think it is a great idea to keep him out all year round. The table runner is beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteI am loving that cute little fawn. Initially, I thought it was real. LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous little deer. I would be too attached to him to put it away too. Your dining table looks beautiful, wood shows off our sewn treasures so well too. Beautiful NZ beaches, makes me homesick. I agree the weeks are flying by & the swaps just keep tempting us to do even more. At least you are making progress on so many items. I need to write a list! Tracee xx
ReplyDeleteYour fawn looks so lifelike Wendy, he's gorgeous and will make a wonderful addition to your christmas decorating.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the beach. xx
That is a lovely find... it deserves to be display year round :-).
ReplyDeleteThe view of the beach is breath taking. I was born and raised in an island, I will always be an island girl at heart!
Your applique is looking great! Can't wait to see more!
Hi Wnedy, love the Fawn, so pretty, its a good idea to keeo him out all year round in amongst your potted plants!
ReplyDeleteLove the view of the bay, I really miss the sea.... living here in Alberta we have to drive about 12 hours to get to the coast!
Hi Wendy!
ReplyDeleteLovely post, I love your little and cute fawn, it is adorable.
The picture of the sea is very nice, I'm lucky to live a few meters from Lake Huron, I know it doesn't compare with the ocean, but it is huge enough for me.
I'm sure when you finish the quilt for Charlie it is going to be amazing!
Send you a big hug my friend
Laura =)
The fawn is adorable , so real looking . The view from the hill top is incredible , what a gorgeous beach . Lots of beautiful work happening at your house ! hugs Sheila
ReplyDeleteGreat post Wendy. Love the fawn to bits. Fell for your table tunner and setting. Wow... lot of elbow grease went into that shine on your table! I'm impressed. I'm getting tired just reading what you have plans to do... good luck with that.
ReplyDeletep.s. Charlottes quilt is going to be gorgeous.
Beautiful little fawn. I think he deserves a special viewing at Christmas time too. Gorgeous spot for your camp and lots of lovely stitching.
ReplyDeleteHe is cute as can be! I thought he was real at first until I looked at his eyes more closely.
ReplyDeletethat fawn is very beautiful, so realistic, love it! Such a lovely view, a great picture and I love your stitchery.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you have your fawn "out"? He is quite fabulous.
ReplyDeleteYour little fawn is absolutely adorable! I enjoyed stopping by and reading your great post. It was interesting to see you are from NZ - one of my sisters lives over there in aukland.
ReplyDeleteYour fawn is very cute - and obviously a lot smaller than I originally thought - especially when I compare him to the size of the Sweet William flowers! I do like your table runner too! Your flower blocks are coming along well - the variegated thread is lovely on them.
ReplyDeleteLovely fawn indeed !!
ReplyDeleteI've joined Kathy's swap too !! Can't resist !
Florence
