Last night I got settled with a hot drink, this ...
... and my sewing for a perfect Friday Night Sew In!  Have I said how much I love having a fire?  It really makes me feel cheerful and cosy no matter the weather.
I decided to continue working on the Boys Story quilt so sewed away on block 5 ...
I had hoped to finish the block in the evening and get some hexagons done but the railway tracks seemed to take a lot of sewing!  I have one more track to sew, you can see my needle in place, and there is also a rocket ship to be appliqued on the right of the block.
Thanks Heidi for hosting FNSI!
Happy sewing, Wendy

  1. I also love a fire! Your boys quilt is coming along nicely,
    Happy stitching, Michelle.

  2. A fire and a cozy quilt to work on...the perfect combination. :) Your quilt is awesome...and I found the pattern and ordered it today. I can't wait to start mine.

  3. Love your fire. It does indeed look very cosy. We had ours on last night too here in (supposed to be) sunny Queensland. Your quilt is going to be lovely when done.

  4. Love your ChooChoo Train! Looks like you had a really cozy night. I'm digging fabrics out of stash to start my Boys Story as we speak.

  5. Wendy your fire looked so inviting - what a lovely place to stitch. Your quilt is going to be beautiful, The train block is gorgeous. Happy stitching.

  6. Thanks also for your lovely comments Wendy. It is so exciting to open my blog and see a comment! Thank you also for the "no-reply" tip. I will investigate.

  7. Wendy, your quilt is amazing. I don't know where you find the time to do all that you do! I agree, a lovely warm fire is perfect to stitch by..xx

  8. Hi Wendy, your block is looking great. The train is just so cute! That fire looks cosy too.
